ISAJ Symposium is an annual interdisciplinary symposium organized by the Indian Scientists Association in Japan (ISAJ) to showcase scientific research being done by Indian researchers in Japan, and their Japanese and other colleagues.
A highlight of this year’s symposium will be talks by prominent visiting Indian researchers and an extended poster session with presentations by young researchers visiting from India, and their interactions with researchers working in Japan,
in cooperation with JSPS-DST Asian Academic Seminar 2016 ==>
The global sustainability challenges facing the world today are complex and involve multiple interdependent issues such as climate change, environmental degradation, energy security, and resource depletion. A key component in responding to these issues is the development of the science and research capacity to understand the interactions among them and human systems. Increasingly, decision-makers are looking to science to provide the solutions with new technologies for sustainable economic development through a multidisciplinary approach.
The 7th annual symposium of ISAJ will enable scientists to reflect on some of these issues and to critically assess what is being prioritized, how various disciplines of science and technology can be better integrated and what this would mean for future directions in addressing and creating innovative solutions to the sustainability challenges.
Sessions will be designed around dedicated topics and will include keynote and plenary talks by scientists of repute from various Japanese and Indian research institutes and universities. There will also be oral and poster presentations of submissions by the participants.
Registration Fee: 3,000 yen (Students: 1,000 yen) will be collected from all participants.
Abstract submission is closed.
